Product Description: Telmisartan is in a class of medications called angiotensin II receptor antagonists. It works by relaxing blood vessels so blood can flow more easily.

Pharmacological Actions: 
Telmisartan interferes with the binding of angiotensin II to the angiotensin II AT1-receptor by binding reversibly and selectively to the receptors in vascular smooth muscle and the adrenal gland. As angiotensin II is a vasoconstrictor, which also stimulates the synthesis and release of aldosterone, blockage of its effects results in decreases in systemic vascular resistance.

USES: 
Telmisartan is used in the treatment of Hypertension (high blood pressure), prevention of heart attack and stroke and Heart failure.

Side Effects: 
Common side effects are-
1. Upper respiratory tract Infection
2. Back pain
3. Diarrhea
4. Sinus pain and congestion
5. Skin ulcer 
6. Dizziness
7. Stomach pain 
8. Weakness
9. Muscle pain 

HOW TO USE?
Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. It may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
