Product Description: Ceftriaxone + Tazobactum is a combination of two medicines: Ceftriaxone and Tazobactum. Ceftriaxone is an antibiotic. It works by preventing the formation of the bacterial protective covering which is essential for the survival of bacteria. Tazobactum is a beta-lactamase inhibitor which reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Ceftriaxone against bacteria.
Pharmacological Actions: Ceftriaxone & Tazobactam Injection is a combination of ceftriaxone and tazobactam that works to treat the bacterial disease. Ceftriaxone is present as a sterile, semisynthetic and broad spectrum antibiotic while tazobactam is regarded as a penicillinic acid sulfone Beta-lactamase inhibitor. This injection generally works by inactivating susceptible Beta-lactmase and irreversibly gets bind to the catalytic region of the enzyme. Tazobactam lacks significant antibacterial activity of its own. By rendering β– lactamase inactive, tazobactam is able to protect the activity of various β–lactam antibiotics.
