Chemical Composition: Each 5ml reconstituted suspension contains:-

Cefpodoxime Proxetil USP 50mg
 
MODE OF ADMINISTRATION: For Oral Use Only.

Product Description: This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It stops the growth of bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering that is required for them to survive. 

Pharmacological Actions: Cefpodoxime is a bactericidal agent that acts by inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cefpodoxime has activity in the presence of some beta-lactamases, both penicillinases and cephalosporinases, of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria. 

USES: This medication is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It is effective in infections of the lungs (eg. pneumonia), urinary tract, ear, nasal sinus, throat, and skin. It will not work for viral infections (e.g., common cold, flu). 

Side Effects:
Common side effects are as-
1. Headache 
2. Stomach pain 
3. Dizziness 
4. Diarrhea 
5. Nausea and Vomiting 
6. Decreased apetite
