Product Description

This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It stops the growth of bacteria by preventing them from forming the bacterial protective covering that is required for them to survive.

Pharmacological Action :

Cefpodoxime is a bactericidal agent that acts by inhibition of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cefpodoxime has activity in the presence of some beta-lactamases, both penicillinases and cephalosporinases, of Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria.

Uses:

This medication is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It is effective in infections of the lungs (eg. pneumonia), urinary tract, ear, nasal sinus, throat, and skin. It will not work for viral infections (e.g., common cold, flu).

Storage

Store below 30˚C. Keep away from children. Use reconstituted suspension within 7 days and placed in regrigerator.

Direction Of Use:

Shake the bottle to loosen the powder. Slowly add boiled and cooled water up to the mark on the bottle and shake well. Add water if necessary to adjust the volume up to the mark.
