Product Description: Cefuroxime Axetil belongs to the second generation oral cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu).

Pharmacological Actions: 
Cefuroxime Axetil binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), inhibit the last step of the bacterial cell wall synthesis. 

USES: 
Cefuroxime is used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria, such as — 
1. Bronchitis 
2. Gonorrhea
3. Lyme Disease 
4. Skin Infections 
5. Ear Infections 
6. Sinuses 
7. Throat Infections 
8. Tonsillitis 
9. Urinary Tract infections 
 
Side Effects: 
Common side effects are-

3. Abdominal pain 
4.  Diarrhea 
5. Dizziness
6. Drowsiness 
 
HOW TO USE?
Take this medication by mouth usually twice daily (every 12 hours), or as directed by your doctor. Swallow the tablets whole.
