Product Description: Azithromycin is a broad-spectrum macrolide antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It works by blocking the formation of proteins required for bacterial growth. Thus, it prevents further bacterial growth and multiplication. This medicine is only effective for bacterial infections.

Pharmacological Actions: Azithromycin works by interfering with the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to perform important functions. By doing so, it stops the infection-causing bacteria from growing further and prevents the infection from spreading.

USES: It can be used for the treatment of–
1. Community-Acquired Pneumonia
2. Acute bacterial otitis media
3. Skin and soft tissues infections 
4.  Acute bacterial sinusitis 
5. Pharyngitis and tonsillitis

Side Effects:
Common side effects are as-
1.  Diarrhoea
2. Stomach pain
3. Nausea and Vomiting 
4. Loss of appetite 
Rarely Side effects:
1. Difficult or painful urination 
2. Fever 
3. Acid or sour stomach
4. Excessive air or gas in stomach 
5. Chest pain
6. Dizziness 

DOSAGE: As directed by the physician.
