Product Description: Cefuroxime is in a class of medications called broad spectrum cephalosporin antibiotics. This injection stops the growth of or kills the bacteria that cause infection. It is not effective against infections caused by viruses.

Pharmacological Actions: Cefuroxime, like the penicillins, is a beta-lactam antibiotic. By binding to specific penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs) located inside the bacterial cell wall, it inhibits the third and last stage of bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cell lysis is then mediated by bacterial cell wall autolytic enzymes such as autolysins; it is possible that cefuroxime interferes with an autolysin inhibitor.

5 Urinary tract infection
6 Gonorrhea
7 Intraabdominal infection

5. Difficult or painful urination
6. Shortness of breath
7.  Change in taste
8. Stomach pain
9. Pain at the injection site 
10. Acid or sour stomach
